Our Mission

To design and implement community-driven programmes that improve access to education, economic opportunity, and sustainable livelihoods for marginalized women and youth while strengthening local capacity for long-term development.

Our Vision

To create a resilient and equitable society where marginalised communities overcome poverty through sustainable development, climate adaptation, and economic opportunity.

Areas of Focus

RYC implements integrated programmes that address the root causes of poverty through access to education, women’s economic empowerment, community resilience, climate change, and evidence-based local development initiatives.

Education

We improve access to quality learning by supporting school infrastructure, strengthening foundational education, and delivering digital literacy training. RYC has supported the establishment of a school that currently serves 85 learners by constructing a borehole, which is accessed by 500 students and has conducted a baseline education assessment to guide targeted interventions.

Women Empowerment

We strengthen women’s economic independence through entrepreneurship and skills training. RYC partnered with TECBO to train women in yoghurt production and convened 30 Somali women for a dialogue on gender-based violence prevention in Eastleigh, Nairobi.

Sustainability

We support sustainable community development through practical interventions such as the construction of a borehole in Rhamu now serving up to 200 households, improving water access and household resilience.
